WhatsApp Flow

Interactive forms that run inside a WhatsApp message, letting users complete bookings, sign-ups, or product configuration without leaving the chat. Multi-screen, branchable, native-feeling.

What it means

WhatsApp Flow is Meta's native interactive form layer inside chats. Instead of sending a customer to a landing page or a Google Form, you can build a multi-screen experience that lives inside the WhatsApp message: dropdowns, date pickers, text fields, conditional branching, all rendered as a smooth in-app overlay.

Flows are built and approved as part of message templates. They support marketing, lead capture, appointment booking, surveys, and product configuration.

Why it matters

Web forms and landing pages bleed traffic. Every redirect off WhatsApp is a chance for the user to lose interest. Flows keep the entire interaction inside WhatsApp, where the user already is and already trusts.

The completion rate impact is real. Most deployments see 2x to 3x the form-completion rate when the same form is delivered as a WhatsApp Flow versus a landing-page link.

Example

A dental clinic uses WhatsApp Flow for new-patient intake. Instead of sending a 'click here to book' link, an interactive form opens inside the chat: select treatment type, pick a slot, enter name and contact details, confirm. Three screens, 90 seconds. Completion rate is 78 percent versus 31 percent on the previous Google Form they used.
